It has been a pretty dreadful year for the Scottish football loving public.
Boozegate, Boyd, Iwelumo miss, Norway hammering and Burley contributed to yet another major, tournament qualification failure. Not since 1998 in France have our national team graced a greater stage than the Kirin cup.

Levein named new boss of Scotland

Dundee United manager Craig Levein has been confirmed as the new Scotland national coach at a Scottish Football Association (SFA) press conference.
